Introduction:
LC fiber optic patch cord is made of LC fiber optic connectors, LC is the short form for Lucent ,the famous company in communication industry. LC is one of the earliest small form fiber optic patch cord,LC fiber connector is only half of the size of SC, this make LC suitable for densely installation.LC is popular today is also maybe because of Lucent's equipment and marketing of it.
Structure of the LC Fiber Patch Cord
Standard LC fiber optic patch cord is compliant to Telcordia GR-326-CORE and IEC 874. LC fiber optic patch cord is with 1.25mm ceramic ferrule ,typical insertion loss is less than 0.2dB. there are simplex LC fiber patch cord and duplex types.

Structure of LC connector
LC fiber connector is of a plastic housing ,ceramic ferrule, and RJ type locking unit. generally LC is using blue for singlemode UPC and green for APC, beige color for LC multimode connector.
